Welcome to Huggies® Pregnancy Calendar!
Well, let’s start at the beginning. The average pregnancy lasts 266 days, or 38 weeks. But according to the calendar used by medical professionals, you'll be pregnant for 40 weeks or 280 days. Why the difference?
Doctors and midwives start the pregnancy clock on the first day of a woman's last menstrual period (LMP), to take into account all of the natural variations in women's cycles.
"Gestational age" is what your baby's age is called when your pregnancy is dated using a 40-week calendar, although your baby-to-be will actually be about two weeks younger than that.
That’s why Huggies have created a 40 week pregnancy calendar, which will take you all the way from your last period, through conception and pregnancy, until your baby’s birth approximately 40 weeks later.
So whether you already know how many weeks pregnant you are, or whether you’re just starting to plan for a baby, click on each week to see what you can expect in the days and months ahead.
