Hi All Just need to get this off my chest, i'm so angry! I have been having some spotting wich today got worse, I went to A&E this morning.. Had the usual preg test etc. Waited 2 and a half hours for some doctor to tell me that and I quote "you can always have another one" ie I can have another baby if I miscarry. He also said that in the first trimester (not that we actually know howfar along I am !) there is no risk to the mother so I can't have an emergency scan today! He said I have no clinical need for a scan!!!! How the h**l can they treat you like that? He just didn't give a toss, he was really brutal, no care of cncern for me or how worried I am etc... Needless ro say, I cried, he then booked me an appt with the early preg assessment unit on Monday.. SO just to clarify, today, FRIDAY, I have no clinical need, MONDAY, in 48 hours time, I do??!! What is this all about? So i get to worry all weekend!! What a bloody fabulous service! Wonder why I bother paying national insurance... Sorry to rant just needed to let of steam! hi, what a horrible experience, wouldnt u think in this day and age u would be treated better than that. when i was 9 weeks i started to have a heavy bleed, i went to hospital on the sat had examination and was told i was prob loosing the pregnancy. had scan on the monday and was happy to see a baby with heartbeat and a sac that i was bleeding from. on my 13 week scan there was 2 jumping about, turns out it was a triplet pregnancy, now a twin pregnancy im 20 weeks now and so far so good. hope u have a good outcome as well, the doc u saw obviously has sh.. for brains. good luck x x

Oh what a horrible experience you have had. I know exactly where you are coming from. I done a pregnancy test on the saturday on on the monday i started bleeding i had the same in my first pregnancy so i tried not to worry i phoned the early pregnany unit and they said i had to wait 2 days before i could be seen. So i had the same agonising wait as you my husband was going mental. I was seen at the hospital and had a scan where i found out that my baby was safe and alive so i was over the moon :) 3 weeks later i had a worse bleed and really bad stomache cramps i ended up in A+E they told me to take paracetomol for the pain and come back in 2 day for an appointment with the epu ten sent me home i was devastated at the lack of care or compasion in there faces. i had another agonising 2 day wait but im glad to say my baby is healthy and im now 17 weeks pregnant and had no more bleeding thank god. I hope you get good news at your appointment and i agree why do we pay national insurance im sure its so they can make us worry and suffer stress good luck xxxx laura grace 2 and 17 weeks bump

Hi All thanksfor your responses.. For info it turned out that I had a blighted ovum and was miscarrying. I have since had an operation and as u can imagine am still really upset. I have made a formal complaint regarding the treatment i received in A&E. I will let you knowwhat response I receive! Not expecting any more than a half hearted apology tho!
