Angie - colchester isnt far at all, do u drive? would love to meet up one day :) Karen - billaricay is a bit further out, prob closer to where i used to live (grays) not found any toddler groups yet...only been here 3 weeks so am still trying to get sorted but ive seen on the net that there is a couple in the area sp wil try and go to one soon. xx

Hi there, I live in Halstead too, have a little boy 15 months. We moved out here just over two years ago now - I'm a former Orsett and Stanford girl so we've followed a similar pattern! I'm also looking for a mother and toddler group, don't spose you have tried any out yet have you? I've been putting it off for ages, seems quite daunting doesn't it! But also my little boy went to a group 1 day a week while I was working so he had his interaction then but now i've finished work so feel I need to do it for him more so. Hope you're settling in ok, Halstead is a lovely place to live sure you'll find your feet here. Lou

hi louise, i havent tried any groups out yet, like u say, it is quite daunting! thats funny how we have followed a similar moving pattern :) do u like it here in halstead then? its such a change from grays but im loving it. do u do much during the week? im finding it hard to fing things to do with gracie and i hate staying in for days, maybe we could meet up one day... xx

Hi Lucie, yeah we love Halstead, it's a completely different pace of life compared to the other end of Essex. The people are pretty much nice as well, all be it a few weirdo's that you'll come to recognise in town but they're harmless nevertheless! So are all your family and friends that side of Essex too? To be honest i've only just left my job, was working from home so couldnt get out much anyway. But generally no i dont think there is a great deal to do with the kids in Halstead town, hence why i think mother and toddler group would be good. Ok yep why not, then perhaps we can tackle the mother and toddler together! Lou x
