You WILL cope!it certainly wont seem like it in the beginning and im sure there will be days when you feel like your struggling but he has already proven what kind of man and "father" he is and you really are better off without him and therefore you will manage!do you have ppl around you that you can turn to for help and support?i was left a single mom when me and my ex spilt and unthough he sees his son and ive managed to get payments off him via the CSA i feel very let down by him and he honestly doesnt seem that intrested in his son which hurts me because he is such a lovely little baby!!!!!!!!!anyway i made up my mind to cope alone with the help of my family and freinds and everytime i got down i would just think how better off i was without the waste of space that he was and still is!im now in another relationship and its going great, hes good with my son and has restored my faith in nice guys,,chin up because it could happen to you too if you give it a chance and forget the useless ex...x

hello gwen im sorry to hear about your babys daddy doing a run after she was born. i have not and i am not in your situation but i hope what i say does help you. i would like to say congratulations on your arrival first of all, and how brave i think you are. i myself have a little girl who is 14months and i think the most important thing to remember is your not alone there is always someone to talk to and someone is always there to help. all you need to think about is yourself and the little one, having children and bringing them up is hard work but i admire women such as yourself who is a single parent bringing them up, keep telling yourself you can do it and i expect you`ll do a great job but if does get to tuff just ask for help dont be worried to . i think the last thing you need to worry about is that bloke who done a runner at the end of the day he is going to be missing alot and thats his problem. i do expect you got plenty of friends and famliy who will help you but what ever you do dont give up.
