thats fine, its just the change in his diet, it will take a little while to get used to it, and it is going to be different depending on what types of things he eats. as for the rusk, i wouldn't worry. I'm a dental nurse, and just having a rusk in the morning with his milk is absolutely fine its if you're constantly giving him sugary things throughout the day. its not about what they eat, its about how often. after you've eaten the sugar attacks your teeth, and it takes your saliva 40 mins to re-mineralise this, this happens with anything you eat or drink. so if they're constantly eating or drinking anything other than water, the teeth will decay cos you're not giving the saliva the chance to repair the teeth. bit complicated but thats pretty much it in simple terms. As he is having milk with it, this will help the process cos of the calcium in it, the same with cheese etc. Hope it helps. x

Have you tried the reduced sugar or sugar free ones? The medical advice states you shouldn't give babies anything with added sugar, but if you do, then it needs to be in one sitting & not spread throughout the day so damage is kept to a minimum. Amy & Joshie x
