Sciatica is a ver common back problem and not just in pregnancy!! I've suffered with it for years. Lying on your back can make it worse. If you sleep on your back, try wedging a pillow under the side that bothers you or if you sleep on your side, try a wedging a pillow or 2 between your knees. A good excersise to try through the day is to stand at one of your kitchen counters with 1 foot on the yellow pages. Gently move the other leg backwards as far as you can and hold it for a few seconds. Repeat 5 times then switch legs. I was told to do switch back to my bad side (left side) and do a further 5 reps. You should then aim to slowly increase to 15-20 reps each side over the course of a week and again I was advised to switch back to my left side for another set of reps. Hope this helps!!
