hello ive just been on antibiotics and now ive also got thrush i phone my midwife and she phoned my gp as if you dont get rid of it before you give birth you can pass it to the baby via the birth canal then it can cause problems feeding etc my gp precribed a pessary and also a strong cream and it seems to of worked

Hi Stacey, I first had thrush during my first pregnancy 17 years ago and have had it on/off ever since then. Its not nice at all! Ive always been told that if I have treatment for thrush then your partner should also as they can have it without the symptoms: I found this and thought it might be useful 'Thrush is not a sexually transmitted disease per se, as it can flair up from existing microbes for any number of reasons, even in young girls who are not sexually active. However you can pass vaginal thrush on to your sexual partner, even through oral sex.' Hope it helps Vicky x

........p.s. so if you are treated for it but your partner isnt then they can pass it back to you.

Hi, I had same problem & what I used which think might of help were those 'yoghurt' type drink which have the 'good' bacteria in them. Its worth giving them a try as they're not that expensive & may just work x
