Hi, its your first child, of course you worry, you just want to get things right! I'd say thats the sign of a good mum! I'm sure your sister was the same with her first, I know I was. Take care, Vicky x

hi if hes scared of the potty, dont rush it. leave him in pullups for a bit, otherwise he mite develop a phobia of using the toilets. my daughter was scared at 1st so i put the potty away for a few weeks, then i got it out and let her walk round with no nappy on, she soon realized wat it was there 4 and weed in it eventually, and wen she did we both took the potty upstairs n she helped me tip it into the toilet and she flushed and we made a big song an dance bout it. u dnt need to rush him, and nurserys cnt turn him away if hes not dry, some kids stay in nappies until their 3 or 4. boys are alot slower to potty train than girls, but plz dnt rush him as he will go wen hes ready. i no its frustratin but forcin the potty on him will make him nervous. take care luv stacey rhiannon(2) and 40+1 wk bumpy xx

i just dnt think men understand in general. their brains are tuned completely different to ours and they dnt understand that mums worry more than any1!!! its normal to worry especially over something as big as potty training. i have a terrible phobia of toilets due to my mum rushing me as a kid. i always have been this way, so i no from personal experience what rushing children can do to u. my mum was always on my case sayin i shud get my daughter out of nappies, but i didnt listen to her. and im glad i didnt. just go with what ur heart tells u, and what ur little boy tells u, dont worry about what any1 thinks, or about his age, just do things ur way hun xxxxx
