hi can any1 help my son is 2 next week and use to be a really good sleeper hed go to bed himself after his bath and pick a book to read after id read it hed give me a kiss and say night then i wudnt hear another peep out of him till at least 7 the problem is now that ever since fire work night witch he was petrified of he wont stay on his own after book time he dosnt want me to go then when he dos drop of the slightest noise can wake him and hes crying at his gate to come to me ive tried reassuring him and have then left him but after at least doin this 4 2 hours aT A time anytime in the night hes still going 4 it and h**l look around and say light looking really scared i do have a night light for him and have also tried leaving the landing light on but this dosnt seem to work my partner has to get up very early 4 work and this is really affecting him sorry for the long post any help is very apprechiated love jade and jake x

i don't know if this will work as my little one loved fireworks day and has begged 4 rockets eversince. but what about one of those night light torches that you can get in all sorts of designs. get one with his favourite characters on. that way e controls the light. he's got a permanant night light then when he gets scared he just picks up the torch and ta-da instant light so he can see for himself everythings ok. if he feels in control to see for himelf then maybe he won't be as scared. hope that helps xx

hiya, my son is nearly 2 and we have fireworks going off round our area near enough all year round.he was terrified too, so what we say is that ITS BOB THE BUILDER BANGING!!! it works most of the time for us, but because we say it so often, he says bob too whenever he hears them. hope this helps.xxxxx
