Hi, I dont live anywhere near you, but I understand how you feel. I live out in the sticks, and at the mo I dont drive. My husbands at work all day so im feeling a bit lonely and isolated. I dont return to work for another 3 months!! so adult company is limited at the mo to my family members, most of whom i'd rather not see : ) Good Luck! Vicky x

I'm a Social Worker, workin with young offenders (10 - 17 years old) Moved from the city to a Warwickshire village, and I'm not happy here really but this is my husbands home and finances dictate we stay here for a while. How old are you? Are you planning any more kids? Vicky

...Your so right we should be grateful for what we have. I do also have a daughter nearly 18 years old. What a fantastic subject to study, and an interesting area to work in. What field of law do you intend to specialise in? Im due to start back at work in April 09 but only part time. I'm looking to change jobs soon, or perhaps return to uni to study. I might join the Probation Service as a Probation Officer, and I do love to study, its a challenge and it keeps the brain ticking over. Vicky x

i enjoy criminal i find it so interesting learning how just one case can change a whole law or how a law is passed or created in the first place. i dont like studing but it will all be worth it. 18 thats a big gap at least shes all grown up tho but i think your kids always remain your babys dont they my son is nearly 4 but i still see him as that small baby i brought home so many years ago. you looking forward to going back?

Re: Friends

No not really looking forward to returning, its certainly time for a change as ive got ambitions of getting as far as I can career wise. Yes shes grown up and in some ways she still my little one but shes very like me so its hard to ever remember her as being little and reliant on me. Shes fiercely independant, knows her own mind and as an only child for so many years shes always been very grown up and responsible. I want this one to grow up and be independant, go out and do her own thing in the big wide world. First daughter I was on my own with her from age 10, met a new partner couple of years ago, got married and thats the reason for the big gap but im loving it just as much second time round, just not liking the weight gain of pregnancy again! gone from size 8 to size 14 but its coming off slowly!
