when to stop nappies during night

hi my son is 2 1/2 and for the last 5-6 month has not wore a nappy during the day but wears one on a night. he's just started sleeping in his bed not his cot for the last week, some times he has a poo just after he goes to bed so nappy often dry next morning (maybe one wee during night) then other nights he hasnt had a poo till morning when i get him up so nappy full, other times nappy is full of wee on a morning just wondering when's the best time to get him out of nappies on a night?? lv jen and bump 19weeks

Hi there, with my son when he had gotten the hang of the potty during the day i put one in his room on a towel/old rug so if it spilt it only went on the towel. Anyway i had him in pull ups as nappieswerent big enough for him and that way he could go on the potty when he was ready and we still had any accidents covered. Also a new bed is a big step so maybe wait another week till he's really settled, A good tip though let them pick their own potty it will encourage him to use it, this tip really worked for my oldest daughter. Have just started potty training my third this last week, and its still major stressful. hope this helps you
