Does it matter if you hold off?
10/08/2008

My little boy turned 2 in may and a while ago started wanting to sit for hours on the loo like his daddy and big brother, he also had a dummy which he gave up for 2 weeks then found one in a bag that was still unpacked from when we moved in to our house in feb and wont let it out of his sights.. he has also lost all interest in going on the loo or potty now.. we are going through family stress, my dad has been given 2- 4 weeks to live so obviously everything is up in the air at the mo... so what im asking is do you think i will be able to hold off potty training till things calm down or will it make it harder???

Hi, sorry to hear about your dad, personally i would hold off a while, i think kids pick up on stress and dealing with accidents when you have a lot on your mind will be hard on you. he will pick it up again when ready, my sister tried 3 times to train her daughter and eventually she decided when she was ready. good luck
