Hi, i know exactly how you feel! i was the same i was so nervous and scared that it was going to cause me so much pain but it didn't! it was (eventually) fine just the same as it was before. Just relax and as soon as you both feel ready all will be fine!

i must say that for me it did hurt a little but then again we only waited until 2 weeks after. was a little sore for the first few times but back to normal after about 2 more weeks. If you are nervous i would recomend that you go on top that way you can control everything. PS if you are breast feeding or have stopped in the last month your may need a little lubrication as breast feeding can dry you up a little. But above all have fun. Helen and lawrence 4 months

I was really scared incase it hurt, but it was fine. I left it 6 weeks just to make sure everything was healed properly. You just need to relax and make sure you're ready xxx

heya i was so scared to have sex again i waited 3 weeks and at first it was a little sore but nothing to bad the pain went after a couple ov minuits it all depends wen u think u can just relax the more u tense the more it hurts enjoy..... xxxx

hi with my daughter sex was impossible i had stitches and i couldnt even walk properly for the 1st few mnths, althought they sed this was normal, i completely disagree. i tried sex after a couple of months and couldnt do it at all it felt like i was too tight. i did keep trying tho my hubby would give me a massage to relax me and hed try then, but nothing workd at all, it was after my daughter was 7 mnths that we managed although it was terrible. sex is still painful now quite often, and its been 2 and a half yrs since i gave birth. every1 is different, and as long as u feel ready then u will be ok. dnt try if ur scared, cos if it doesnt work it will put u off 4 the future wait until ur ready. gud luck luv stacey rhiannon2 and 39 wk bumpy x

I also had stiches inside and out but was fine after 6 weeks. It all depends on the person, everyones different.

Hi Alice, Yes when I had sex after my six week check, it was painful, I felt like a virgin again, as I didn't have sex since I was 3 months pregnant, and to be honest I've actually gone off sex, I only do it now to please my partner, That is so bad, but I hope my sex drive comes back......
