crying
13/11/2008

my son is 10 weeks old, he spits up after most feeds. but during the past 2 weeks he crys constantly, during feeds and after, he only settles by sleeping on me. the dr has put him on gavison 2 days ago, but the crying is the same and he spat up loads earlier. ( what is the difference between vomiting ans spit up ?) i dont know how to help him, he seems in so much pain. he sleeps well at night tho ? any ideas?

hiya my daughter constantly spat up her milk, even when i weaned her for a while she spat up her baby food. r u breastfeedin, cos my daughter went thru a stage of crying thru feeds, and it turns out she had thrush in her mouth. i no this sounds strange, bt i had to rock and bounce gently on the birthing ball whilst feeding her. u can try singing whilst feeding, to make it more relaxed, or if ur bottle feeding u shud mayb try n change the bottles. i used avent bottles when i stopped breastfeeding and they was brilliant hope this helps luv stacey rhiannon(2) and 38 wk bumpy xx

Hi, I changed milk when my little man was like this, we were using SMA gold & changed to Aptimil. I have since spoken to laods of people who have also had problems with SMA. It might be worth trying a change? x

hi i also had a baby with reflux he used to be sick after every feed i felt exactly the same but it does settle down he is 2 now, i used infacol when he was liffle, i tried coleaf (very expensive but you can get it on prescription) the dr gave me gaviscon and it didnt do much but then i chaged my milk to aptamil as it has something in it to help their tummy i had been using sma well the differance was amazing problem solved, one peice of advice if you decide to use bottle feed is buy the cartons to try first so you dont go to alot of expense and taste them yourslf cos sma tased very powdery while aptamil was nicer. good luck alison finn and 6wk bump

hi gemma im sypathise with you my little boy is 2 now and to be honest i felt the same as you every time i fed him he was sick he used live in a bib cos i felt like i would spend my life changing his clothes if i didnt, they do grow out of it though, i tried alsorts of things even milk that was free from lactose incase it was an allergy and it didnt change it the aptamil did help but maybe it was coinsidence. the health visitor just told me not to worry. i have heard that dr browns bottles are good but i never tried them hang on in there and if your worried go the docs, the doc just told me aslong as it wasnt projectile vomit not to worry as we have pyloric sxtenosis in our family. anyway i have a lively happy little boy im sure you will have to alison finn and 6wk bump
