Hi!
God, I feel sorry for you.
I went through the same when my son was around 10 months old. I treid everything I could think of but in the end I went along to the HV sleep clinic. It was great and really sorted things out. Check with your HV to see if there is one running in your area.
She told me to put him in his cot at a set time, still awake, say good night and leave the room. If he continues to cry, leave him for 5 mins then go back in, DO NOT pick him up, just recover him, say good night and leave for 10 mins, do the same, then 15 mins etc etc. I know it sounds like hard work, and it is, but within 3 nights he was sleeping through again and it was great!! And as for sleeping during the day, as much as its lovely falling asleep with a cuddle, you have to put her in her cot while she's still awake or when she wakes up alone she'll be upset coz your not there like you were when she fell asleep. I know it hard, and I miss the cuddles but it'll be easier for you in the long run.
Good Luck!!
