double buggies
18/11/2008

Hi ladies, I am looking for a double buggy for when i have my 2nd baby in march. My litle boy will be 21 months. I don't know where to start! I use the bus and train a lot so need one that is quite light I have been looking at the Graco stadium Duo and combi caterpillar tandem which is only available on line, so i cant go and have a look at it. it looks quite long so worried about fitting it on the bus! Does anyone have these and could let me know what you think of them or any other buggys you could reccommend??! thanks Kali, Arlo and 22week bump xxx

I think you would struggle to fit a double buggy onto a bus, I find it hard enough with just my single buggy. An alternative option might be for you to put your toddler in a single buggy and carry your new baby in a Moby Wrap or similar baby carrier. Then when your baby gets too big to carry everywhere, you could switch to having the baby sitting in the buggy and the toddler standing on a buggy-board attached to it. Hope this helps! Hi my little one was 18 months when my second arrived and she is big foe her age I had looked at front and back stroller but remember the big baby will be at the front making at very hard to tilt up a cerbs on bus and trains ect I bought a silver cross pop duo and they are both very comfortable in it I also use singles a lot if I am not on my own. I am also going to invest in a boogie bored when my eldest is 2. I also tried the sling Idea and thought the would be great but actually did not work as i expected. hope this helps.
