Thanx for replies about leaving children in cars
14/11/2008

Hello everyone. Just wanted to say thanks for all the replies - i guessed it would be a pretty hot topic. it has made me think a lot more about leaving my son, and i certainly wouldn't do it if the car was out of sight (i've never actually done that, not sure why i put it in the post) it's made me change my routine for things like getting petrol so that i do it when he's not with me or i've found one where you pay at the pump. I realise that it really is not worth the risk for the sake of a few tears for hauling him out of the car. thanks again to everyone. Jenny and James 18 months x x x

Hi, It was certainly an interesting topic! Although stranger danger is a risk and something we should be educating our children about, its actually in their own home children are most at risk of abuse neglect etc. Parents/carers are the biggest group of perptrators against children. In fact step parents are the biggest concern for welfare agencies (not all stepparents or parents of course!) Take Care, Vicky, Social Worker
