i have a gorgeous baby girl of 13 months.she still sleeps in the same room as me.the problem i have is that during the night if she wakes, she will crimb out of the cot and fall, after several visits to A&E im cant think of a way to stop her doing this... any ideas jade x

hiya because me n my boyfrind live at home with my parents our little boy was in the same room as us and he wasnt sleeping at all.. so we had to put a wall up in our bedroom n make him his own little bedroom n but him in a bed at 14 month.. n he doesnt fall out of bed he loves it.. sleeps alot better n now if he wants to get out n come to me he can.. people say 14 month was to young but hes fine.. kym xx

Hi my little boy is 17 months and he did the same last week and i had to take him to A&E! But he doesnt seem to be abe to do it when he has a sleeping bag on. I thought about putting him in bed but worried he will be gettting out all the time!

hi have u thought about buying a toddler bed? my daughter went in one from 12 months, and shes 2 and a half now and never once fallen out of it, i never even bothered using a safety barier. the bed i bought was frm argos and its pink, they also have blue and pine, and they have rails goin 1/4 of the way dwn. it takes a fw days to get them used to sleeping in 1, but its better than any more accidents. gud luck luv stacey rhiannon and 38 wk bumpy xx

hi - my daughter was in a toddler bed at 13 months old and although the first 3 days was a nightmare (she realised she could get out!) she now loves it 6 months on. I didn't put any barriers up, I just put pillows on the floor. I got mine from the great little trading company (www.gltc.co.uk) - its a great website for loads of stuff. I didn't bother with a stairgate on her door, if she gets up in the night she either comes downstairs (I no longer have stairgates on the stairs either) or she'll come and climb into my bed. She gets 3 chances of getting out of bed, then I shut her bedroom door. I always open it again before I go to bed, but it works.

You could try putting her in a grobag (baby sleeping bag) to prevent her climbing, but if that doesn't work then she would probably be safer in a toddler bed. Sylv, Thomas 4 & Abigail 13 months
