any ideas how i can get my other half to help me out more? granted - i know he works mon - fri and hes tired but he wont help during a night feed - or any feed - i had an operation a few weeks back - had my thyroid removed so had staples in my neck - and he had time off work to "help with meghan" strange how he was playing on the computer all the time then! he goes on the xbox live thing till 1am in the morning (normally this is when meghan wants a feed) so i moan that instead of chatting to his mates etc on the xbox he could be helping me out instead. He doesnt pick her up when shes crying and shouts me if im in another room to come and sort her and then he moans when she wont settle for him when he does try!

Hiya,how r you coping? iv got the same proplem wiv my otha half! sometimes i dnt think he wants to help me! he neva gets up in the night and my little girl doesnt sleep through,he justs stays asleep and im sure he can hear her, and if she really starts crying he moans at me tellin me to sort her out!he wont even look after her if i went for a bath or shower! My mum helps me out with her, mabye if you can ask ur mum to gelp you. Hey Alana. Do what I did and go on strike. Sit on the couch, watch a program or two and let everything go tits up. If Meghan is crying, you call him to take care of her. If he is hungry, tell him to make his own food, if it gets dusty and grubby, tell him to clean it up. I did it with my other half for a weekend and on Sunday evening he was so knackered he gave in. That has been three months ago. Now he helps me every weekend with our little one as he also goes to work during the week (and i don't mind giving him a break). During the week he will put Ellie in bed, That is their time together. Let us know how it goes!

hi alana i know how you feel my other half works away all week and is only home at weekends. My parents came down for a few days so i had to show them round the tourist sites i asked him to look after him for like 2 hours and all he did was moan at me and said it would be better if i took him with me in the end i twisted his arm to do it when he came back i was soon given my baby back and he continued to moan about how horrible our baby was.when he comes home at the weekends he makes out he has had the hardest week ever so that he can basically use me as his slave while he sits and plays his computor games. Im starting to get pritty annoyed about it so this weekend he has an ultermatum coming his way i find this usually works and he gets his priorities into shape again.

Hi i understand what everone is going through. My husband complains everytime i ask him to look after MY son. I have often thought it would be easier to just do it myself and leave him.
