I'm taking my 3 month old to his first swimming lesson tomorrow. Not too sure of the logistics of it all though ie, who do i undress/dress first? Me or him? I have bought sml huggies swim nappies, will this be enough? What if he hates it or is simply too tired and ready for a sleep? Will there be somewhere for me to "park" his pushchair whilst we're swimming? Sorry for all the questions but I'm a bit nervous. Funnily enough I'm not nervous about him going in the water cos he loves his baths and both me and his dad are good swimmers I would love some advice so thank you in advance

hi i started taking my daughter jazmin swimming when she was 10 weeks old and shes 7 months now and loves it so well worth it , i undress myself first but get her dresses first when we get out , my thoery is if anyone gets cold its me lol ,and once shes dressed she normally has a nap and then i get dresses , all pools are different re prams , some have a buggy park , some let you park next to the pool and one i go to you put it in lifeguard bay , just ask when you arrive . my other bit of advise is have a bottle of milk ready , jazmin is starving by the time we get out so i wrap her in two towels and prop her milk in place whilst i get the stuff out the lockers , she doesnt have milk in the day now except after swimming because shes so hungry . hope this has help , enjoy yourselves and let us knwo how you get on , carley and jazmin x x

oh and also jazmin wears a swimming nappy and costume , i think that they are meant to have two layers but not 100% , if you do buy a cossie ive found they are quiet small , when jazz started swimming she was still in newborn clothes but had to have 3-6 cossie , shes now 7 months and in 3-6 clothes but 9-12 cossie , it wont matter if its abit big cause thats what the nappys for and also it might last a bit longer

hi i took my three month old swimming and i was the same as u worried bout everything. so hears my advice put your costume on under ur clothes before u go. i wud get urself half undressed then ur baby. Make sure uve got sum1 to help u get in the pool if it only has steps. if ur baby is sleepy in the pool thn get a baby float which they can sit in, thay can nap but still get used to the water at the same time. with regards to dressing i would wrap a towell round ur baby when u get strait out of the pool thn put a towell around u. i usually take two towells swimming for my daughter and use a different 1 to dry her with. once dried and dressed i put her in her buggy, there shud deffo b space for ur pram nd i wud recommend u take it. good luck enjoy it.xx
