Hi Debbie, I have a little boy of 5 months old and have just started him on baby food, I also have a little girl that is just over 2 now. I done exactally the same as you. food at 8, 12 and 5pm and bottles at 7, 11, 3, 7pm then bed. Then as she got older she was slightly eating and drinking more. It sounds to me that you are doing perfectally well. I done this from when she was 6 months old and i dont hear a peep out of her through the night, she goes to bed by 7pm and now wakes up about 7.30am. When my little boy is 6 months old i will be doing the same with him as i found it works. Donna, Lucy 2, Liam 5mths

at this age solids is just about practise and letting your baby try different tastes. milk should still be their main feed. ive been weaning my girl for about 2 1/2 weeks now, she will be 6 months in a few days. im giving her 1/2 jar of veg, rice & chicken and 1/2 apple and pear (hipp organic 1st tastes)for pud,she has this between 5 and 6 pm. she drinks 8oz of milk at 8.30, 11.30, 2.30 and then bed bottle at 7.30 - 8pm. as for yoghurts i dont think they really need them at this age as they should be getting all the calcium they need from their milk feeds. i am thinking that im going to give tea for 3 weeks then add breakfast then in 4 weeks add lunch so by 8 or so months she'll have 3 meals per day. the best thing is to let your baby lead you she will let you know if she wants more or less.

Hi Debbie You wont be doing anything wrong if your baby is happy with this routine. Every child is so different. My first hardly eats anything and is just over 2, she was a constant battle from the off, my 2nd who is 7 months eats loads and loves it. Do what works for you, there is no right or wrong xx
