My midwife has just said that my baby hasn't grown since my last appointment (4 weeks ago). She did say that it could be due to him lying in a different position and that there was nothing to worry about. Another appointment has been made to see the m/w next week and if he still hasn't grown I will be referred for a scan. But I do worry! Is this normal? Has it happened to anyone else? What was the outcome? I have had recent traces and the heart rate etc seem fine. H E L P!!

Hi Carole Try not to worry im sure everything will be fine although i worried as my baby didnt grow either so i was refered for a scan & we found out she was small but the blood flow to and from the cord was fine also the heartbeat was fine. They did want to keep an eye on the growth so i was going every week to be checked she still didnt grow so at 37 weeks they booked me in to be induced but carried out a sweep that day to see if that would start me off which it did the same day i had a show & 3 days later i gave birth to a baby girl weighing 5lb 30z and she was perfect!! now 4 weeks on she weighs 6lb 3oz & is doing great. Midwives are really good at what they do but now a days they expect everyone to have big babies as the average baby is 7lb so try not to worry they are just doing it for the best. Hi,its probs nothing to worry about,when i was pregant with my first child i went at 24weeks and she mesured 24 and then went at 28 and still mesused 24 then went at 30 weeks and still 24,went for a scan and she was just little,thats all xx
