hi everyone another quick question! just wondering if people have found the second labour easier or faster than the first or just the same? i keep getting told its easier second time but not sure if thats true and dont want to get my hopes up! thanks Sheena & 34 week bump

Hi Sheena, I can say from personal experience that my second labour was much easier! I think you know what to expect and your a bit more prepared (mentally) to deal with it! You know that fighting things doesnt make it any easy so simply by going with the flow makes it easier. Mine was also quicker - so hopefully you'll experience something like mine! Im on my third so I wonder if its quicker & easier this time? Who knows? Good luck! Love Marie x

hiya there sheena, i would say yes,my first was 25hours but pushed her out in 14mins! second was 3hours and pushed her out in 5mins, she was thats qucik as all i said was i fill abit funny down below so midwife had a look and head was just about out lol i also had no pain relife as i just did what my body said to do unlike my first when you dont have a clue i felt so good after having second daughter went home an hour later so my other daughter had not even none i had been anywhere as she was still in bed lol stacey,alexandra 3and7mths and mercedes 21mths

Hi yes my second was much easier my fisrt labour was 32 hours long with all pain relief. Second was 2 hours with a hot bath and gas and air no pain relief while pushing though. It was much better. went home same day. And took her for her first day out the day after.

Hi, Yes the second was easier. I had a 4 hour labour 1st time and had to have ventouse to help her out. Second labour was only 25 minutes and just made it to hospital! I didn't realise i was in labour until she started coming!
