hi stacey, I don't think there is an average age. It depends when you feel your baby is ready. Some start as early as 2 years, some start at around 3 years. I started potty training my son at 2 years, whereas my nephew who wil be 2 this month hasnt been potty trained yet as his mum feels he's not ready. Everyone is different. Start potty training your little one when he/she starts showing signs of wanting to use the loo, when he/she tells you they wet etc. Good luck x
