which formula would you say is the best? my sister has always used cow & gate but then theres aptamil, sma, farleys, hipp, its all really confusing!!! help!!!

Hi i have always used sma gold with my 3 children age 12, 9 & 1 and plan to use again with the next one due aug. Noone really gives advice so the choice is yours i just used sma as was recommended and have continued to use since. good luck with your choice clair & 27 wk bump

Hi I also use SMA Gold my sister-in-law who has 2 children recomended it as she studied all the formula milks when she had her children and found that in the case of nutrients etc sma was the closest to breastmilk.

Aptamil is now supposed to be clostest to breatmilk. I've been comination feeding and use Aptamil - baby took to it with no problems.

Hi! I used Aptamil with my son because it's supported by years of research. I heard that SMA can cause a few tummy upsets.

hi there i breast feed my son but every now and again give a formuls bottle when i can't express so dad can feed baby! i use aptimil cos again research has shown that it's most like breast milk! hope this helps, Kirby and 9week old Kayne xx

I personally had a few problems with sma but i'd recommend trying one and if it doesnt work trying a new one until you find one that works. Afew days of upset tummy is normal when changing milk but if theyt havent settled after 2 or 3 days its not the one for them. My son was very sick on sma gold and white so he is now on cow & gate comfort which is great but its not for everyone. Good luck with your search. Hayley and 10 weeks old Deacon

I was given SMA Gold by the hospital and continued with that as we had no problems, I changed after about 6 weeks to SMA White for hungrier babies.

We used SMA but it made Fin really uncomfy and windy so he has been on aptimal easy digest and its really good ash and Fin 9weeks

I started off using aptamil when combine feeding my baby but found it made her wheezy so switched to cow and gate.
