hi my daughter is nearly 2 and when i put her to bed i have to sit in the room with her untill she goes to sleep. this is because i lived with my mam until she was 1 and a half and we always went to bed the same time, ive tried leaving her but she just screams. can any1 help me please? x

hiya i had the same problem with my little girl who about the same age as your. i used to put her to bed at bedtime and she would scream too so i would leave her for 5- 10 mins and if she still carried on i would check on her and put her bk into her bed then leave her again. if she was still screaming i would then check after 15- 20mins and so on. then after a few weeks or so she got used to going to bed at bedtime and just going to sleep. Its very hard to do but i jst had to be strong and think bedtime is bedtime. x

my little boy is fine going to sleep in his cot at bedtime, but because he is in my room he wakes up when i go to bed and wont stop crying untill i put him in bed with me, i've tried letting him cry himself to sleep, but this does not work because my partner cant sleep and has to go to work in the morning so he genraly sleeps downstairs on the sofa and my 2 teenage children complain because he wakes them also and they have to go to school. if anyone can suggest some help that would be great.
