Hi Tom, just another post to let you know that although good dads can be few and far between, the ones like you - and my boyfriend - go a long way to helping women change their opinions of men.

Having just read this now, I would also like to add to the growing list of lovely men out there! When we stuggled to get pregnant, my Husband was amazing. All through the pregnancy he was the same, which is saying something as he had to work away a lot. He handed in his notice in the end and took a job with a ridiculous commute just to be there for me. Then all throughout the long (83hours!) labour that lasted from Wed lunch to Sat night, he was an absolute rock, despite a few choice words from me, and some scary moments. He absolutely loves our little girl and she loves him. He couldn't be a better Dad!

Hooray! I'm not the only dad on here! No seriously, I try to do as much as I can for our family. Things are quite hard at present though, it's my partners 3rd, and I think the gap between the second and third is quite alot, so she is adjusting still, bodywise to the arrival of Jack. Sometimes I just want to curl up in a ball, but realise she is just hormonal, or tired and not to take it to heart (i'm a sensitive type!).. I strongly believe, us dads have to do as much as possible to support our fantastic other halves, and be the best dads we can be. I find it very hard though, sometimes in the mornings, as I have arthritis, (only 31, what a bummer!), and if I know my partner has been up all night with jack, I feel abliged to get up with jack, even though I may be totally stiff and hardly able to walk! I know, I know, I may be sounding like superman, but trust me I;m not. Anyway, all the best to the dads, and good luck! (oh, all the best to the mums tooo.)
