i heard you can take your baby swimming pretty much when you like...... i called my 4 local swimming baths and they said i cant take her till she has had her first set of jabs.... she is 6weeks old, i know she will have it soon but i was so looking forward to take her :(

Hiya - someone asked this a couple of weeks ago, read "when can i take my baby swimming." Generally it';s the pool's discretion but medically speaking you can take them as soon as you like, jabs or no jabs!

unfortunately some swimming pools prefer them to have had their first set of jabs before taking them swimming. I've really missed out taking my lo - she's 9 months now and we've not been since before christmas cos she was really poorly with a cold at the beginning of the year then started nursery and has picked everything up from there. hopefully next weekend she'll be ok to go cos she loves it so much

I took Josh when he was 6 weeks. I read somewhere that some leisure centres don't let them in the pool till after jags but i didn't tell them. He was fine just got a bit cold as the pool was freezing
